Make Kettle Corn
For you people who don’t have the flash player installed, our kettle corn recipe is this:
- Popcorn
- Sugar
- Corn Oil
- Salt
You’ll be mixing the popcorn and sugar to a 2:1 ratio. The important thing is to HEAT the mixer to a hot enough temperature so you BROWN the sugar BEFORE the whole mess pops. Doing it in a microwave just melts the sugar, that’s why the microwave stuff just doesn’t cut it. Shaking a pan over a stove won’t mix the ingredients enough while it’s popping, you’ll still end up with ‘melty sugared popcorn’. (Note: we’ve tried all this ourselves, that why we went out and BOUGHT a darn kettle!) So that’s our kettle corn recipe.
